Date: 30-10-2010
Nose: Wood, round, full, slightly medicinal, a little peat.
Flavour: A big chunk of peat, wood, fruit, sal ammoniac, some pepper, both elements of sherry and wine, a liitle glue.
Body: Round, slightly dry, reasonably dynamic, stong finish.
Comments: Don't misunderstand me, as a whisky it can handle the big peatyness quite well. For me though, the domenance of the peat gives it less of the Ardbeg experience I've grown so fond of over the years, making it less special in my eyes.
