Faint, thin, hint of pineapple, nuts, slightly sour.
Flavour:
Lots of sal ammoniac, stone fruits, sweet vanilla, wood, slightly rancid in the background, apricot finish.
Body:
Round, full, powerfull, slightly dry, pleasant finish.
Comments:
Compared to the rest of the Macallan range, the lack of sherry makes it a bit of a lone wolf. Knowing it's distinct and powerful character that's clearly by choice. One which I applaude.
