Nose: Gentle, almond, wood, red fruits, sherry.
Flavour: Sal ammoniac, peaty, sherry, wood, white pepper.
Body: Oily, creamy, stimulating, thick lasting finish.
Comments: Every sip starts with a flavour explosion, so there's no settling down. Absolutely teriffic but it also mean all focus lies at the start. As a result it's not balanced, but thats to be expected from a sample which is only part of a 'proper' Ardbeg.
